Was this mastered by Master Blaster?
Every master we deliver carries an ID (MB-XXXX-XXXX) and a signed proof in its tags, and is entered in our register. Drop a file to check it. The file is read, checked and deleted at once; we keep nothing of it.
Or look an ID up (this says when it was made, not whether a given file is the one):
What the answers mean
- Genuine: the signature is valid and the audio is exactly the one we delivered.
- Changed: the signature is ours, but the audio is not the one signed. The file was re-encoded (MP3, AAC), edited or its level changed after mastering. A proof is for the master as delivered.
- In our register: the tags are gone, but the audio is the same as a master we made.
- Not valid: a proof is in the file, but its signature fails.
- Unknown: no proof, and the audio is not in the register. Register entries of free demos are kept 5 days, of API customers 10 years.

The proof is TXXX:MB_PROOF in the file's ID3 tags: base64url of a JSON payload, a dot, and an Ed25519 signature of that payload. The payload has the ID, the time, the SHA-256 of the decoded samples (32 bit) and the id of the key. Our public key: masterblaster-signing-key.pem.
